By the end of the year, 53% or better of Kindergarten students will score 75% or higher on the Kindergarten High Frequency Word List and 27 correct letter sounds of CVC words on the District EOY Assessment. 




By the end of the year 53% or better of Kindergarten students will score 75% or better on the Math District EOY Fluency Assessment. 

The Terrebonne Parish School Board shall offer full-day kindergarten instruction to each eligible child and require every child entering kindergarten for the first time be given a valid and reliable readiness assessment. The results of this assessment shall be used for measuring student readiness for kindergarten and for planning instruction.

Kindergarten Teachers

Heather Coulon Heather Coulon is a 15 year teaching veteran.  Ms. Coulon holds a M.Ed. in early Childhood education.  Ms. Coulon has taught several grade levels but Kindergarten is her favorite. Through her teaching she hopes to develop a life long learning love of learning for her students.  
Jessica Vicknair Miss Jessica Vicknair has been teaching Kindergarten for 15 years.  Miss Jessica received her undergraduate degree as well as her Masters degree from Nicholls.   She hopes to foster responsible, independent and happy learners. 
Brandi Westbrook Mrs. Brandi Westbrook has taught Kindergarten for the past 20 years.  She holds a M. Ed in Early Childhood Education.  Mrs. Westbrook believes Kindergarten is the foundation upon which all other learning is built upon.  The transformation of her students is the best part of her job.
